Privacy policy
Here is everything we do with the data of anyone who visits this site or writes to us. No small print: if something isn't clear, write to us and we'll explain it.

What we do and why
Each situation on its own, because you writing to us is not the same as us writing to you.
When you write to us
- What data
- First name, surname, email and whatever you tell us: the service you're after, approximate budget and your message.
- What for
- Replying to you and, if there's a job, putting together a proposal.
- On what basis
- Your request. In legal terms, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- How long
- While we're talking and for up to four years after, which is what the statutory limitation periods set. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we delete it.
- Who else sees it
- Google Ireland Ltd., because the message arrives and is stored in a Google mail account.
When you visit the site
- What data
- Pages you view, how long for, what kind of device and which country from. Your IP address is handled by the server in order to serve you the site.
- What for
- Knowing which content lands and whether our ads bring visits.
- On what basis
- Your consent, given or refused in the cookie notice. Until you give it, analytics runs in restricted mode and Meta's script isn't even loaded.
- How long
- As long as each cookie lasts, per the table in the cookie policy. Two years at most.
- Who else sees it
- Google Ireland Ltd. and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc.
If you leave your details in an ad
- What data
- Whatever you fill in on the ad's form: usually name, email and phone number.
- What for
- Getting in touch with you about the project you asked about.
- On what basis
- The consent you gave when you submitted that form.
- How long
- Up to one year from the last contact, or sooner if you ask us.
- Who else sees it
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., which collects the form, and Supabase, where the record is stored.
If we write to you first
- What data
- Professional contact details of businesses: trading name, public email address and sector.
- What for
- Introducing the studio in case it fits what you do.
- On what basis
- Our legitimate interest in promoting services business to business, using professional and publicly available data. You can object at any time and we stop writing.
- How long
- Until you ask us to stop. If you do, we keep only your email on a suppression list, so we don't write to you again by mistake.
- Who else sees it
- Resend, which sends the email, and Supabase, where the record is kept.
Data that leaves Europe
Google, Meta and Vercel are US companies. Their European arms process data in Europe, and when anything does travel to the United States it does so under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
What you can ask of us
By writing to hello@backerystudio.com. We answer within a month at the latest, and you don't have to explain why.

- Finding out what data of yours we hold.
- Rectification
- Correcting anything that's wrong.
- Erasure
- Asking us to delete it.
- Objection
- Telling us to stop processing it.
- Restriction
- Freezing it while a disagreement is settled.
- Portability
- Taking it with you in a readable format.
- Withdrawing consent
- At any time, without affecting what came before.
And if you think we've got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos. We'd rather you told us first, but it's your right.
